Manage Your Tasks With Remember The Milk
"Remember the Milk", don't you think it's an interesting name? ^^ i found the website from a magazine several years ago. i personally don't interested in task-managing softwares because i'm a very forgetful person and i'll forget to list my tasks anyway. at the end of the day there will be only my failing memory to count on to. but i went to check it out anyway. the colors for the website layout was so milk-like, dominated with blue and white. which is nice, because it gives a clean atmosphere and not so hard to the eyes. managing your tasks seem to be made easy too with minimalist layout and tabs grouping your tasks.
but i soon decided i can't make use of this because of my personal problem toward task-managing. i normally don't plan, so i didn't know what i should put up there xD and it'll be bothersome thinking that when i already know what to put up there, i'll have to go online and open up rtm's website and log in. i'm sure i won't always remember to open up browser to remember the milk either when i'm online. sounds very inconvinience. if i don't have access to the internet at the moment, i'd be forgot about my tasks already when i do have it. but this should be solved, though. remember milk allows you to access it via mobile, now this should really help because you usually carry around your cellphone with you. the problem that you maybe won't always remember to open rtm on your browser should be solved too by adding the quickadd plug-in to your browser. this plug-in allows you to post to your rtm without even have to load the page and log in to it. just post your tasks right from your browser ^^ got twitter? rtm also allows you to post tasks via twitter too. rtm also provides the same service with blackberry, iphone, gmail and google calendar. one of the nicest thing is that rtm can also remind you about your task via mobile, email and messenger. because what good will task-managing do you if it can't get you reminded? ^_~

10 Reasons To Try Facebook Again
A lot of people are enjoying facebook nowadays. it is, in my opinion, is the most interactive and easiest social networking site ever existed. but i also know some people who created account, said it was confusing, then neglect their account. i will not deny this as it happened to me myself when i first logged in ^^ the first thing you'll notice is the clean tabbed layout, which is nice. but then you'll see it is filled by so many feeds and news you're not familiar with. suddenly you're confused about what to do first. but i found out that these are only the first impression. once you get to know facebook better you will find many benefits that you won't likely find in other social network websites. here's my reasons why we should give facebook another chance :
- the clean, simple design with only 2 colors seen : blue and white. facebook doesn't give you space to customize HTML, which will be considered lame and boring for some people, but i think it's brilliant. that way, we don't have to see bright backgrounds and some annoying glitter texts that you might see if HTML is provided. with only 2 colors all over the place it is feels more like in uniform. you won't find yourself feeling transfered from one different place to another completely different place. but if you really need HTML customization, there is an application for it that you can add onto your profile. this then will show up in your 'boxes' tab.
- Getting interactive with your friends without even have to leave your page. all of this is provided in the 'wall', the thing that you might find the most confusing in your first visit. so what is the 'wall'? 'wall' is simply feeds and news, where they announce who has been active doing what (off course only your friends will show up here). you don't have to read them all and this way you won't be confused. you can just scan them and only read what interests you. if you have something to say about it, you can comment right on the spot. simple.
- Everything about you, a lot, everything in one page. friends can get so many informations about you without even have to click and go to another page. they just have to switch tab which will only requires a click and a several seconds for the content to load. the tabs you'll get in the first are 'wall', 'info', 'photos', 'videos', 'boxes' and 'notes'. if you have anything you think will provide informations about you better, you can add applications and display them as tab replacing the other that you think won't be as useful.
- there is always something you can do in facebook. facebook has a lot of applications for you to have fun. nobody to chat with? you can play games and you have a lot of choice. bored of playing games? you can try some quizzes and see your result. ran out of interesting quizzes? why not send virtual gifts to your friends? there are so many choices of gift you can send to your friend.
- you don't always have to play games alone in facebook. here, if your friends play the game you're playing too you can see your their scores and see who's best at playing the game and who's not. some games even allow you to have an interactive playing with your friends.
- Pages for your company, music band, or even pets! you can build your own spot in facebook that everyone can be a fan of. and you can inform your fans about updates by sending them message. fans can also view your photos, videos, notes, discuss things in the bulletin board, or maybe participate in applications that you've added to your page.
- Create your own group. this isn't so different with page which caused confusion for some people whether they should make page or a group. well one difference is, you cannot add application to your groups. i like to consider group as a small forum, where people mainly discuss things with the members. while page is like smaller version of a website with many informations displayed.
- in facebook, you can make categories for your friends. whether they are your elementary school friends, high school friends, family, closest friends, neighbours or band members, you can divide them into a category that fits them. i found it very useful because this makes your added friends more organized and easier for you to find people in your friends list.
- you're not always alone when your pictures are taken, right? there might be your family members or your friends too there. if you upload these pictures to facebook you can tag every person in the picture. if they are tagged then the picture will automatically appear in their facebook profile. you can have more pictures to show off even without you uploading, because someone else has done it for you. if you don't feel like you want the picture to show in your profile, you can always delete the tag and poof, the picture disappears from your profile.
- Facebook does seem to make everything easy for you. whether you want to upload photos or videos, you can straightly do so from your 'wall'. there is always a shortcut to almost everything in facebook. the toolbar does this for you also. you can costumize what you want to appear here, which will be very useful to display things that you use often.
